Indoor or outdoor, cycling is considered one of the best forms of cardiovascular exercise, because it has virtually no impact on the body. Researchers found those that a 5% improvement in cardiorespiratory fitness from cycling led to a 15% boost in mental tests.

2. Leads To A Healthier Heart

Studies from Purdue University have shown that cycling just 20 miles a week can cut your risk of heart disease by 50%. Those who also regularly cycled were 31% less likely to develop high blood pressure than those who did not.

3. It’s Great During Pregnancy

Those who exercise regularly during pregnancy recover faster, have an easier labor and enjoy an overall better mood during their pregnancy. Since running is heavy on impact, spin classes or exercise bikes are a great and forgiving option on the body for mothers-to-be.
