2015 was a big year as we launched the Netpulse Blog and published more than 125 articles covering a range of topics from fitness tech and industry trends to educational pieces on club management and membership sales. As we prepare for the New Year, we thought it would be fun to look back and see which posts were the most popular.
Here are the top 5 most viewed fitness tech articles we published in 2015:

The emergence of new fitness technologies and club business models have forced successful health clubs to adapt and change the way they do business. One shift that has happened is the the way operators measure and grow member engagement. In this article, we introduced the concept of the engagement rate. The idea obviously caught on, because this article was our fourth most popular post of the year.
We have the privilege of working with a number of industry experts to publish guest posts on our blog. The most popular guest post of the year was written by industry consultant Jim Thomas in which he outlines the top 10 behaviors of the most successful sales people in your club.
Infographics were by far the most popular type of content that we published on our blog. In fact, the last one we published earlier this month quickly climbed the ranks to become the second most viewed post in 2015. In this infographic, we use data from industry expert Michael Scott Scudder to show which size of club is growing the fastest. See which facility reigns supreme.
So are you ready to read the most popular post on our blog? It's no surprise that it's also an infographic. This one used data compiled by 3 great organizations, including IHRSA, to show how the fitness industry has changed over the past 2 years in terms of program and equipment offerings, as well as technology usage. Check out how much the industry has changed.
Bonus: Fun Guy Fridays
In 2015, we launched Fun Guy Fridays, a semi-regular piece of fitness satire and comedy. What started as experiment by one of our staff writers turned into one of the most read type of article on the blog. The most popular Fun Guy Friday post was "4 People Your Members Avoid at the Gym".
It's been a good year for the Netpulse Blog, and we want to thank all our loyal readers for constantly coming back to find the pulse of the fitness industry. We look forward to writing more great content for you in 2016.
